As the grand finale of this year's SMA, a furious gala rounded off the 17 events of the 2024 festival edition. As a carte blanche, the first part reflected selected highlights of the SMA, including chamber music with soloist Friedrich Thiele and concertmaster Julius Maier, an excerpt from the Candlelight Concert with harp trio, a brass quartet formed during the course of the academy, a woodwind quintet and - of course - a cappella singing. The second part then shook the completely sold-out castle barn one last time with ‘Scheherazade’ before it can probably only be experienced again as a concert venue in the SMA 2026 due to renovation work...
