After the great success of the 31st SummerMusicAcademy 2023 the 32nd SummerMusicAcademy is now in the making, which will take place from 28.07. to 11.08.2024. The first week of the festival will focus on the human voice: the traditionally opening master class will be in the subject of art song under the direction of the award-winning "master" duo Patrick Grahl (tenor) and Daniel Heide (piano). In addition, there will be an a cappella concert by the world-renowned Leipzig vocal ensemble amarcord as well as a public singing event under the guidance of Friedrich Praetorius, further diverse concert formats under this maxim. Additional programme highlights will be a Family Film Music Open Air and, of course, the final concerts of the International Academy Orchestra, which will feature the Cello Concerto by Antonín Dvořák with Friedrich Thiele as soloist and Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov's "Scheherazade".
Details on the events as well as the application opportunities for the master class as well as the academy orchestra are expected to be published in April 2024. We are looking forward to further planning for an already exciting 32nd SummerMusicAcademy!
