The 32nd SummerMusicAcademy is just around the corner: the first week of the festival will focus on the human voice: the traditional opening masterclass in art song will be held under the direction of the award-winning "master" duo Patrick Grahl (tenor) and Daniel Heide (piano). The programme also includes an a cappella concert by the world-famous Leipzig vocal ensemble amarcord as well as a public singing event under the guidance of Friedrich Praetorius, further diverse concert formats under this maxim. Additional programme highlights will be a Family Film Music Open Air and, of course, the final concerts of the International Academy Orchestra, which will feature the Cello Concerto by Antonín Dvořák with Friedrich Thiele as soloist and Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov's "Scheherazade". All information on innovations, dates, programme, artists and practical questions can be found in the Festivalbroschüre 2024.
Tickets can now be purchased at the ticket offices in the Wobau Bahnhofscenter in Haldensleben, at the office of the Schloss- und Gartenverwaltung Hundisburg (03904 44265) and online via the SMA website.
The application phase for the International Academy Orchestra and the masterclass is now closed. We are delighted with the large number of applications we have received and the fantastic participants who will give us an exciting 32nd SummerMusicAcademy 2024.
