The Old Factory (»Alte Fabrik«) is the outcome of an ambitious endeavour to recover the historic factory. In 1992, when it was discovered by Kurt Hegner in Althaldensleben, the factory was nothing but a ruin. Today, the grand wilhelminian style building is a space for cultural experiences, with one highlight being Johannes Klumpp’s annual lecture series »Under the Microscope«.
