Starting this year, the SMA will be focussing on a cappella singing. The Leipzig quintet amarcord kicked off a recurring series of high-class vocal ensembles with its ‘Hear the voice’ concert in the melodious Nicolaikirche Oschersleben. The cooperation with this world-famous ensemble will continue, as a prize is now awarded as part of the annual a cappella competition organised by amarcord, which is linked to an invitation to perform at the SMA's a cappella concert the following year.
