The day before, the 56 young musicians of this year's International Academy Orchestra had completed their many hours of travel: from Chile to China and Sweden to Turkmenistan, after a year of abstinence, 25 nations were once again represented on stage to make the barn resound under the direction of the new artistic director Friedrich Praetorius. Both culturally and musically a real crash at the beginning, before it went into the fine orchestral work.
