Lecture Concert

As it is tradition, the symphonic programme was once again presented to the audience this year as part of the Lecture Concert. The audience listened with rapt attention to Friedrich Praetorius' comments on Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov's “Scheherazade”, his setting of the fairy tales from 1001 Nights. A sumptuous barbecue buffet, home-brewed beer from the Hundisburg Castle Brewery, encounters between the international musicians and the Hundisburg audience, as well as one or two spontaneous chamber music performances rounded off the successful evening in the castle courtyard.
