After the weather-related dry version of the jazz night, this year it was finally able to take place open air in the courtyard of the Hundisburg brickworks in mild summer temperatures. As a counterpart to the classical academy orchestra, the Saxony-Anhalt state youth big band and its artistic director Ralf Hesse were guests. The 15 to 25-year-old young musicians played a captivating programme that ranged from jazz classics to own compositions.
