With this year's symphonic programme, the artistic director of the SMA, Friedrich Praetorius, once again set a major exclamation mark: With the largest orchestra ever placed in the castle barn, he performed an electrifying programme with Antonín Dvořák's Cello Concerto in B flat minor, phenomenally performed by soloist Friedrich Thiele, as well as Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov's grandiose symphonic fairy tale setting ‘Scheherazade’. The Hundisburg audience celebrated ‘its’ orchestra with standing ovations!
